Join us for the Maryland Educators Workshop this July 15 at the Towson University Center for STEM Excellence, located in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore.  This half-day summer professional development workshop is offered in conjunction with the Accelerating Science Education conference and is open to elementary, middle and high school science teachers.

The morning will begin with a plenary by Dr. Rommel Miranda, a science educator at Towson University.

In his talk, Evolving to Remain Relevant in our Nation's Dynamic Educational Environment, Dr. Miranda will address the Next Generation Science Standards and the role of inquiry in this new vision for science teaching and learning.

Attendees will then participant in two workshop sessions tailored to their grade level (elementary, middle and high school). Participants will leave these workshop sessions with innovative ideas for engaging all of their students in science.

Lunch will be provided, with an opportunity to network with other Maryland educators, as well as attendees of the Accelerating Science Education conference.  Parking will also be provided.
