Join the Maryland Association of Science Teachers (MAST) for a learning luncheon during the National Science Teachers Association Regional Conference on Friday, November 16 from 12:30-2:00 in the Baltimore 1 Room at the Gaylord Hotel and Conference Center. Spend lunch networking and learning information tailored to your educational needs.
MAST is delighted to have guest speaker Matt Krehbiel, the Director of Science at Achieve. He will speak about Achieve's work to support states and districts in their implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) by sharing efforts underway using the EQuIP Rubric for science and the PEEC-alignment tool to help identify NGSS aligned resources. Matt will also share updates about science assessment and the importance of student perseverance.
MAST will also recognize teachers from across the state with the annual MAST Awards for Excellence in Science Teaching as well as Maryland finalists and winners of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. You can also learn about ways to become more involved with MAST and support science education across Maryland.
Cost per person is $45.00 in addition to your registration at the NSTA Regional Conference.
